Stuart Pfeifer is an expert in strategic communications who has helped clients develop and execute communications plans related to civil litigation, criminal matters, regulatory enforcement, labor disputes, reputation management, government relations, real estate, mergers and acquisitions and bankruptcies. He joined Sitrick in 2016 after working 15 years as a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times, where his assignment areas included business, courts and the law, healthcare and government.
During his journalism career, Mr. Pfeifer reported on the riots that followed the Rodney King verdicts, the Orange County bankruptcy, numerous high-profile trials, including Michael Jackson’s child-molestation prosecution. He was part of a team of reporters awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2004 for coverage of a series of devastating Southern California wildfires. Before joining The Times, he covered criminal and civil courts for the Orange County Register, where his reporting was instrumental in the release from prison of a man who had been wrongfully convicted of murder. He was twice named the best newspaper beat reporter by the Orange County Press Club and was awarded first place in breaking-news reporting by the California Newspaper Publishing Assn.
